"Willow" is a popular moniker for creeks in the United States, almost as popular as "Mill" and "Spring". Little Willow Creek merges into Deaf Smith Creek in a drainage between Big and Little Cottonwood canyons and loses its identity. This Willow Creek, which drains west off Lone Peak, works its way through Draper and maintains its name. It never reaches the Jordan River, though, losing daylight when it descends into subterranean piping coursing through new residential developments next to the river.
