Ironically, several creeks along the Wasatch Front have been christened "Dry". Some are ephemeral streams but not all. There's a Dry Fork at the north end of Salt Lake Valley near University of Utah Hospital, and another Dry Creek drains off Lone Peak to the south and into Utah Valley.
Dry Creek in the south end of Salt Lake Valley consists of two forks: Middle Fork of Dry Creek and South Fork of Dry Creek. Both drain west off Lone Peak. Creek waters work their way into irrigation systems and Dimple Dell, where Dry Creek is a prominent geographic feature. Eventually, the stream works its way to the Jordan River.
